Available Academic Classes:

Math/Lab - using computers and calculators

U.S. Geography - Major rivers, mountains, lakes, and other natural resources

Science - Biological science - study of germs with microscopic lab and experiments

Writing Composition - Book Writing --Writing a personal biography, editing and compiling to manuscript form.

 
 

Independent Living Studies

Planning and Setting Goals: Focus on leisure time activities, being a self advocate that can make wise choices about personal goals and things to do and see.

Critical Thinking - Puzzle Solving:  Thinking through things clearly and in solving problems and in communicating persoanl desires and/or to solve problems.

 

 
 

Life Enrichment Studies

Jewelry Design:  Designing jewelry,safe and proper use of equipment, creativity, and how to estimate the cost of supplies and labor in order to be able to sell the jewelry you make. Completed projects will be entered in the Marin County Fair.

Woodworking:  Safe and proper use of woodworking tools, types of wood, creativity, and following simple directions to making a craft from beginning to end. Completed projects will be entered in the Marin County Fair.

Art/Painting:  Instruction in the color wheel, painting basic shapes and designs.  The completed projects will be entered in the Marin County Fair.

Fall Semester Starts September 11 and ends November 20th

Fall semester holidays to to be observed with no classes:  Saturday September 25th and Saturday October 30th

Christmas Break:  Start November 27th and ends January 1st

Winter/Spring semester starts:  January 8th, 2011

Winter Spring holidays to be observed with no classes are:   President’s Day February 19th, March 19th, and April 23rd for Easter 

Open House/Graduation for 2010-2011 year will be Saturday April 30th
